Just back from Stoney Castle Range and the RAF Match. It was an enjoyable and not entirely fruitless day, a little cool and breezy, but it stayed dry.
There were 11 teams of 8 shooters in the match, firing 15 shots at 500 in the morning and at 600 yards in the afternoon.
The good news for Canada is that we have regained the CanAir Trophy, after an interval of some years. This trophy was created in the 1970s for this annual competition between Canada and the RAF. Unfortunately, we did not win the match overall, that success being achieved by the very strong Jersey squad. Results:
