Friday 15 July

I'm just back from the NRA Overseas Teams Reception, held this year at the Surrey RA. In spite of a heavy shower or two, which drove people indoors, making the crowded scrum even tighter, it was a convivial affair.

At this time of writing, approaching 11 pm, the day's results have not yet appeared on the NRA web site. I will give you some details in the morning. From scores on the Canadian board in the Pavilion, our top shooter for the day was Alain Marion with 98 in the Century (500 and 600 yards) and 49 in the Admiral Hutton (900 yards). The morning details were quite tricky, with winds carrying yesterday's legacy, but it became a bit calmer in the afternoon.

The forecast for the next few days is not very promising, but we have been lucky so far against hte odds and hope that this continues.
