Our two groups have now returned from Wales and the North. Both were full of praise for the wonderful hospitality they received and the enjoyment of the trips.
Wales. The match was fired on Sunday at the Roglet Moor Range. To start things off, there was an individual competition at 500m, won by our Peter Redstone with 48.3 who counted out John Chapman. The team match was for teams of six at 500 and 600m. Wales emerged victorious with 564.36 over Canada's 556.42. Canadian Team scores: Peter Redstone 48.6, 39.1 (more sight problems), 87.7; John Chapman 47.3, 47.6, 94.5; Alain Marion 48.6, 49.4, 97.10; Leo Poulin 45.2, 46.2, 91.4; Steven Spinney 48.6, 46.4, 94.8; Jack McKellar 47.4, 46.4, 93.8.
I do not yet have the scores from the two matches up north, so will report on these tomorrow.
The weather has been fair for the last three days, with a changeable forecast ahead. Tomorrow, we fire against the British Commonwealth RC in an evening match.
